Clive Burr passed away

Postby Corvus » Thu Mar 14, 2013 12:46 pm

It is with great sadness that I anounce the news that yesterday, on 13th March 2013, the former Iron Maiden drummer Clive Burr succumbed to a long illness. He was 57. Clive Burr was the first Iron Maiden drummer on their studio album recordings, playing drums on their first three albums, Iron Maiden, Killers and the most successful Iron Maiden album, The Number of the Beast. His drumming style was one of the foundations of the recognisable Iron Maiden galloping rhythm. His expertise can be witnessed in some of the most succesful Iron Maiden hits such as The Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Running Free, Hallowed Be Thy Name and many more. He left his mark on metal music forever and shall live on in some of the greatest metal songs.
Fake dummies, that's what you are...
