No shit, Sherlock!

Kita is Christian, that doesn't means that they play Christian music :P

Well Kita WAS indeed playing and I think still plays church music..he was working for Church of Finland! :D And I'm really glad about it, because I can say that to everyone who says that lordi are satanists.

Isa wrote:I like it how from death metal we become to christian

Sometimes I ask me if it's really the music who's important for people and not the "image" even for some fan

That they are christian or not ?

That they go to the church or not ?

That they practising or not ?

What does had that to do with the music ?????????? NOTHING

Then come on stop with that Mr Kita and Mr Lordi are christian blablabla 'cause like McQuade say

Over 80% of us Finns are a part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, so it's not that unusual for a person to be a Christian.

It's like when a Italian say i'm christian it's not surprising but it have NOTHING to do with the principal in the band, the MUSIC

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT again. all the point is the music right? Mr Lordi-Christian too, like the rest of the band-said "you dont write songs about religion" or sth like that.

You the crap thing with people? They just can't admit the facts. I told my mum and brother that Lordi have a song called Devil is a loser....this was my reaction:

"So? Mabye they were angry with the devil and because of that they made that song. They still worship Satan" I ask you, some people are such idiots (yes, my own family)

I told them that Kita is a diehard christian, and that he wrote church music....the reaction was even worse....

"What does that have to do with anything?"

Where did you guys get the idea that Mr. Lordi goes to church?
In Mie Oon Lordi, I think he told that he wouldn't call himself a religious guy per se. If I remember correctly.

Simply because for the majority christian = go to the church

When I know much more christian who doesn't go to the church than Christian who go

Majority here make shortened when they know anything or a little (exemple : OX's father egyptian mean that he should be Muslim that what I call a shortened and a big)

I believe he's said so himself, but also something along the lines of he didn't call himself a religious guy (which... stands to reason. XD).

Don't be a bitch to new comers. I wonder the same thing, why was a hard rock band that looks like Lordi in Eurovision, a contest of pop and transgenders. Unless they meant it as an insult, then fuck em.

I classify Lordi as 80's style Shock Rock/Melodic Hard Rock.

Well there has been plenty of rock entered in the selections of other countries, and there have been outrageous costumes before Lordi. Those songs just didn't make it to the final.

Excuse me, did you just said Lordi sucks...?

I Wouldn't be here if i thought lordi sucked.

Then you should have said it in a bit different way..
We have had people here who joined the forum only to tell that they thought Lordi sucked.. I thought for a moment there that you were one of them.

Lordi is not pop rock or glam metal. They're kind of a mixture of 80's rock and...some sort of other genre. They're really in a genre of their own.

And no, they're not Satanic. The costumes they wear are just for theatrics.

Sounds like like very scary and incredible evil music, why was this in eurovision...It's like satanist music.

If Britney Spears put on a scary white mask a la those of the members of Slipknot, she would still be considered a pop singer if she didn't change her music. Lordi's costumes may look scary, but at the end of the day, they're a hard rock band with horror, metal, and glam influences. If you take a closer listen at Mr. Lordi's voice, he is still audible, and you can hear his words, which takes him out of the growling inaudible death metal. As for Satanist, you should take a look at some of the lyrics to many of these songs before making a judgement. They have a song, "Devil is a LOSER," and in "Hard Rock Hallelujah," the line is, "Now choose to join us OR go straight to hell;" NOT, "Now choose to join us AND go straight to hell." I'd say give Lordi a closer listen to the words and compare their music to actual death metal bands that you find on a google search. That should sort things out.
