Mr. Joker posted this on the Finnish side regarding the band "Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät", who is representing Finland this year in the ESC, and I thought to share it here too: The band's drummer is wearing a Lordi t-shirt in the video of their ESC representative song "Aina Mun Pitää". :)

Mr. Lordi played with them last summer on a charity concert in Rovaniemi.

Finland's gonna win the competition second time in history, quote me on that!

Yes he did, and Mr. Lordi has said that he is their fan, has been for a while already, and that he thinks they are the most real/genuine band ever to attend the contest! And also that the band is the punkest band ever! (The source for those quotes is this though unfortunately Finnish article)

If and when that video is the video that will be playing all around Europe during the ESC, then because of the t-shirt Lordi will be getting some exposure too! :D

Hella giving birth on stage would've been great. Also looking forward to that Lordi concept album whenever it finally becomes a reality!

Your interview's been great so far and the greatest thing is that I, embedded in your memory, was so close to Mr. Lordi.

That's what she does... Let me guess, they had already come up with the next album title before recording the previous one?

Cool interview :)
But Mr L can't be serious when saying that Babez had the best sound? I understand that he likes the 80's sound, but there were so many 80's albums which were produced a lot more well with more power.

He tells the truth, otherwise they wouldn't record one more album with Wagener, but as we know, they did.

I'm not pleased with BFB sound too, the way it was produced reminds me of KISS' Hot in the Shade where they purposely made it sound as Bon Jovi-like as possible. And there were much better sounding albums even back in 70s and the first half of 80s.

Well you gotta remember that it's all a matter of opinion since people hear things differently. Something that sounds terrible to one person can sound incredible to someone else and neither would be wrong. Personally while Babez is the album with which I have the most problems sound-wise, I can completely understand why Mr. L himself adores it since he's such an 80s guy. The album sounds more expensive than the ones before it and you can tell the production value has gone up, so in that sense it does go beyond what the albums before it did. What I have a problem with personally however is the guitar tone. I love loud and raw guitars, but on the majority of the tracks on Babez the guitars just sound way too soft and are quite non-existent in the mix. The heavier tracks like This Is Heavy Metal and ZombieRawkMachine have great guitars but then on a lot of the other tracks they just blend into the mix in a way that leaves me irritated that they aren't more prominent.

I think for Mr. Lordi the ideal case would be BFB released on a cassette. :D

So David Hasselhoff has a new talk show starting on Finnish TV next week, which I've been curious about and have looked forward to for a while now. Well I just saw a commercial for the show on TV, showing some of the Finnish celebrity guests that will be on it. Now who should then appear on my TV screen but Mr. Lordi himself. I of course promptly proceeded to lose my fucking mind. I was already gonna watch the show before, but now I absolutely have to watch it. Eager to see how The Hoff reacted to meeting good ol' Mr. L. :D

Haha, this sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun!
I'd really love to see this. Do you have any clue what this show is going to be about? Or is it just like inviting guests and having a little small talk with them? Anyway, I really hope that someone will record this.

Quite interesting questions that you came up with. Loved the ones about the monster image and musical development. :)

All I know is that it's a talk show so you can guess from there what it will be like. He did a show like this in Sweden already and it was apparently successful enough that the next logical step was to do it in Finland, so I guess finding clips from that Swedish version of the talk show might give you a clue as to what the Finnish version will be like.

I definitely dislike it when Mr. Lordi says band hasn't evolved and has nothing to say about what would make people discover Lordi. What the hell, Mr. Lordi, why do you under-rate your own fucking cool band?

It wasn't for under-rate them.

It's a question that I always ask and all band have hard to answer (I myself wouldn't can answer on such a question if it was about my band) but usually it's in a mail interview and then they have the time to mind on answer, here it wasn't the case.

Ask same question to L in a mail interview and I guess his answer would had be pretty different

He also have wanna mean that music basically didn't envolved but he well say band do evoluated specially when Mana and Hella enter the band

But I know that if a non-fan look at interview it may give a other effect.
