My best friend have listen to them, she don't like it but don't say anything that I like.

My collegues say "what a horror" everytime they saw them or ask I don't come, at work, with one of their t-shirt but at same time when I come with a t-shirt with OX on it they even don't do it.

And a other friend confuse Lordi with Lorie (french singer)

--> Not really the same

Friend's reaction?

Postby Rnbdesigners » Fri May 16, 2008 11:41 pm

I showed my friend Lordi and his first thought was that they were satanic. I told him no there not and made him hear Blood Red Sandman. He loved it and started liking them.

Most of my friends seem to like them, and listen to them every so often, but many people just stare at me when they hear Lordi

Well some friends of mine who listen rock and metal do like them and they have also bought the Arockalypse. But some others just freak out and call them disgusting, satanists, crippy and so on. But then if they listen to a song they have never listen before and they ask Who says this song, it's great, i just say Lordi and they freak out more. XD

My friends on the contrary, when I say it's a lordi song, they either don't believe me or say "Oh, they're not so bad after all."

So far, in my eight months in this college, I have converted several people over to lLordi.

Oh yeah, and I caught my boyfriend singing along to WYD! SO I take that as a very good sign! :D

Him: "You know one in Lordi is gay right?? LOL!"
Me: "Eh..? And who would that be if I may ask?"
Him: "That guy on keyboard."
Me: "Duude, that's a girl! ROFL!! XDD"
Him: "Oh.. Fuck >.<"

He got owned.
But when I saw Awa for the first time, I also thought it was a guy but I watched the ESC again and saw the dress, and understood it was a girl. :)

Hmm, some classmates/students have said these:

"Do you like Lordi? Its piece of shit."
"Lordi is a piece of shit."
"Looordiiii!" (first, not these days ;D)
"What the f*ck is that!?" (One girl said when she saw my Lordi-shirt.)
"Who would use that shirt at school?"
But my classmate girl said that my shirt is cool, even though they don't like Lordi :D
And I just kept walking with Lordi shirt. People don't say anything now.
Well, once a guy, older than me started to sang HRH

well one of my friends is scared of them, and I'm gonna take her to see Lordi should they play in LA and should she be able to go. I'm not so sure about the other ones though. One of my friends kinda likes them he says they sound like an 80's rock band. :D

Most of my classmates like pop/folk music (destroyed me during the recent excursion---only pop/folk music was played for almost the whole trip)
There are only 3 that listen LoRDi 1 that likes few songs.

Haha pop/folk... Yeah I know what you're talking about... same situation here.
BTW there are very few friends of mine who really listen to Lordi. The others just ignore listening to their music and say bad words about their costumes and the whole "Lordi" thing.

At the place where I live, I got only friends who listen only techno or pop. There are rockers as well, but they say Lordi is... ridiculous. :|
But yea, if the music-style isn't the same, it doesn't mean you can't be friends huh. :P But I met some cool other Lordi fans from Belgium on monsterboard who are my friends now. Hehe. :D

One year ago, I remember a girl in my class said to me after seeing my T-shirt with Mr. Lordi on:
"Uhm, not to be rude or anything, but that thing was fricking scary!!" I grinned and bowed, and said: "If Mr. Lordi would have heard that I think he would have been flattered!"
