I seriously doubt that they're referencing Linkin Park there.

Not really lyrical references, but two similiar guitar riffs I've picked up on is the fact that in "Fire in the Hole", there's a similiar riff to the end of Kiss's "Hotter Than Hell." Also, in Pet My Destroyer, there's a quick riff very, VERY similiar to (I think) Twisted Sister's "The Beast".

Like, I think the end of 'Bite It Like A Bulldog', sounds like the same as in Accept's 'Midnight Mover'

It isn't lyrical, and it might just be a coincidence, but:

Does anyone else think that the opening guitar riff to "Mr. Killjoy" sounds almost exactly like the one from Kansas' "Carry On My Wayward Son"?

Yeah, in fact, a lot of people say that Lordi ripped off Kansas with that riff. It doesn't sound anywhere identical. It's on a higher tone and played maybe a little bit faster or slower, I can't remember since I haven't heard Mr. Killjoy in awhile.

I doubt Lordi ripped off Kansas, but even if they did, why should i really care?

Mr. Killjoy is such an epic song (like 95% of Lordi's music) than I feel obligated to turn my car stereo up to the max and let everyone else at the red light hear it.

I once made a similar thread here, but more towards the musical quotes, not the lyrical ones. It can be found here: http://www.bmgfinland.com/lordiforum/vi ... php?t=1326

Not sure about that, MBL
In the first line they also mention/referers to Jack The Ripper - ''They called me the leather apron, they called me smiling Jack''

Yeah, i know that there are parts that refer to Jack The Ripper, but there are also other lines that remind on Freddy.
Like the tittle, Blood Red Sandman, The Sandman is a person who brings you good sleep and dreams, and Freddy kills his victims in their dreams, so there is a little similarity.

And:
"They prayed to the heavens above
That I would never ever come back" - After Freddy was defeated, the people didn't want to see him again.

"Can you hear how the children weep?" - Freddy has to do with this children stuff.
And this is the part that brought me to this idea, "Scream all you want you won't wake up when you scream
No-one leaves... The Monsterican Dream" - well this is clear enough, since Freddy kills the people in their dreams

But i can also be wrong.

P.S. Sorry for my bad english and grammar.
