In the song "The Devil Hides Behind Her Smile", you can hear the Phantom of the Opera theme song playing at the beginning. :)

Deadache is a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho!!

"She's over by my place as decoration. I preserved her face for inspiration"
-The killer Norman Bates preserved his mother after death.

"Flashlights from authorities, Lanterns brighten up the scene
Familiar faces of the long dead"
-He's finally caught by the police, his mother's mind inhibits his own

"The mad butcher goes bump in the night, And loneliness, It makes nights endless"
-Norman lived all alone, haunted by his mother

"Mother's not really gone, I'm dressing in her"
-When he killed, he dressed as his mother

"Dusty musty shrine to ma, Board the door so she'll keep long"
-He mummified his mother's remains by keeping her locked in her room
Actually I'm a Plumber.

Good guess but the answer is actually this guy:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ed_Gein

Well, more like an inspiration than a tribute to a murderer...

Oh..that explains a bit. Especially the November line in Deadache

"The trial started on Wednesday, November 14, 1968, lasting just one week"

I didn't mean actual tribute, just inspiration for a song

I think the song "Pet the Destroyer" is just one big reference to Kita.
And "Kalmageddon" is obviously a reference to Kalma.

He doesn't make the stories up by himself. He just writes what he sees in certain movies, read in a book, see on tv,and read from wikipedia.

what the? You can say that about a song like deadache, but would you say mr Lordi has done that with the lyrics like shotgun divorce, blood red sandman (which in the start was blood red santa) and last kiss goodbye?

He sees is a word Isa.Martinmaniac,Blood red sandman is about Jack the ripper..Almost the whole song.
They call me the leather apron, they call me smiling Jack-The letter that Jack ripper sent to the police.
They pray to the heavens above that I would never ever come back-they did, because they couldn't find him,and London was a big city, and there were thousands of prostitutes on the street.
Red drops stain satin so white, the way I sign my name-Jack the ripper signed himself under the bed of his last victim(she was also the only prostitute murdered indoors)
The neighboorhood's pretty dead at night and I'm the one to blame-Almost everyone was hiding in their houses, the thing that prostitutes should have done.
Scream all you want you won't wake up with a scream-No one could hear the victims scream.

I think you confuse song who have a thema and totally copy it from somewhere.

When you write about a thema, you should always found same words somewhere else doesn't mean he don't have write the song alone (mean without copy)

And write a song is more than simply put words together

Abdullah, I write songs too? But yeah, in the intro is a reference to jac the ripper, but that does'nt mean it's about him. In the start of to hell with the pop, there is an accept reference, but that does'nt mean it's a song about accept

The funny thing about The hell with the pop is that they are bashing pop and they are a hard rock band with many poppy sounds and pop influences XD

Everybody can write songs, but not everybody write them good.

Well, I'm gonna to resume something that 2 musicians said, David TMX which is a french song writer (which write very, very, very good) and Dee Snider (does I need to introduce him ? :D ).
Well, when you write a song, except for some rare people, you are EVER influenced with you all day life, movies you see, newspaper you read, etc etc.
And Dee Snider also said something interesting : when you ear/read lyrics, you will put in your imagination and dreams in, and you won't understand the same things as something else. That's why Mrs Gore (don't how to write her name...) understand SM stuff in the song Under The Blade...

that's all...I don't know what was Mr Lordi thinking about when he write Blood Red Sandman, but don't forget that the original name of this song was Blood Red Santa...

In the song "Wake The Snake", the first verse contains the line "I've got an apple waiting for a bite". I think that this is obviously a biblical reference from the Adam and Eve story. :)

snake/bite ?
That's could only be a reference to Kiss...
"my snake's alive and it's ready to bite" (Kiss - Fits Like A Glove)

Mr Lordi often refers to Kiss when he creates his songs.
"They Only come out at night". Kiss used the same title in 1989 for a live CD of 1983 no ?

Isn't this another (quite obvious :P ) reference? (from Don't Let My Mother Know)

"I set the mood
It's like Evil Dead II "

Anybody ever seen that movie? I haven't, so I don't know what it's about...
