Anybody ever seen that movie? I haven't, so I don't know what it's about...

Well it's about a bunch unbelievably gross zombies that kill people in a very nasty way

I don't know if anyone said this, but the working title of Pet The Destroyer was the same as a Twisted Sister song, Destroyer.

"I hid them under the floor; for they being here made me sore
And on that day I felt kinda hazy
Now they still gotta be there, cause they're not going anywhere
With severed limbs - or call me crazy?"

When reading this, what Edgar Allen Poe story comes to mind?

I think this was a bit of a reference to "Tell Tale Heart".

I don't if it was written here but : "Breath becomes fire as I kiss her" from Rock the hell outta you may be a reference to KISS

"Come let us make your
Sister twisted" (Twisted Sister)
"Dresscode is leather with buzz-saws" (Texas Chainsaw Massacre/Leatherface)
"Breath becomes fire as I kiss her " (Gene Simmons/KISS)

So there's quite many references in RTHOY. The whole song is a tribute to 80's heavy bands.

I had a crazy idea. What do you guys think if I make a list of all Lordi's references and tribute? I mean, not only from lyrics, but from music, music videos, stage show... etc. :)

I think it's a refrence to W.A.S.P. They used to have black leather pants with a sawblade in their crotch ..

That makes sense, too. But buzz-saw means usually chainsaw, so I'm on Leatherface's side. :D

BTW, I'm working on the list about references/tributes.

no, because buzz-saw is the kind of chainsaw that WASP use :

Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre have another kind of, the "regular" one :

Ok, now I believe you. :) In fact, the W.A.S.P. reference makes better sense, because the whole song is about 80's heavy bands. :D

Breathing fire, spitting blood

Gene Simmons.

Biting off the heads of bats and doves

Ozzy.

Dragon boots and guillotines

Alice Cooper?

Besides, maybe "Would you love a monsterman?" derives from Accept's "Monsterman"? Also "Get heavy" supposedly refers to Accept's "Get ready".
Next, "Rock The Hell Outta You": "Let us make your sister twisted.." Surely reference to Twisted Sister. ;)
"The Night Of The Loving Dead" - it is known. :P
"Good To Be Bad": "..constrictor queen", maybe I'm overdoing, but.. Alice Cooper's "Constrictor" album? ^^

So many occurs to me. ;)

dragon boots - gene simmons.....and the verse of BBTBTR ''we're SMF...'' is all tribute to bands they all listened as kids or teens and they are inspired by....

My heaven is your hell can be reference to the song Heaven is hell from Accept.

EDIT: In Hate at first sight song there's a part in refrain "Armed with love and sledgehammers, we're mauling" , so if I have correct lyrics it may mean this song was originally on Bend over and pray the Lord (or at least original version of this song), but with name "With love and sledgehammer"

Song "Nonstop nite"

I'm gonna rise,
when the daylight's low,
all dressed to kill,
and all systems go,

Dressed to kill? Quite interesting, you put your clothes on to kill... "Dressed to Kill" is an album by KISS.

All systems GO was an album by Vinnie Vincent Invasion featuring Mark Slaughter on vocals. Maybe something?

Midnight Lover - Midnight Mover? Maybe?

Midnight Lover's title is inspired by Midnight Mover with references to Paulie from the Sopranos.

And a riff from the song "mr killjoy" come from Kansas "Carry On Wayward Son"

And maybe Babez for breakfast and the night of the loving dead is inspirited on Dio's stand up and shout:

judge death wrote:'Last kiss' goodbye, I think that is from the gig Kiss had in 1998: it was called: The last kiss. It was planned to be the last Kiss gig........

Maybe it is from there they got the name from?

It is a lot of references in their songs. :D

I think that the title is more likely from Renny Harlin's movie "Long Kiss Goodnight". But that's just my opinion :)
