Yeah I gave it a some taught and I think it could begin with "we wish you a merry christmas, we wish you a merry christmas and a happy new year" melody you know like kind of inrto and then song with different melody LORDI-MELODY

Petitions are just showing the popularity of the idea or want from the fans. In this case it isn't a great want.

I think it's not polite when fans go up to the band members and ask them to sign 10 different items. Sounds off track but thats a real example of being unpolite.
