Lordi influencing Rob Zombie

Postby Harbinger » Fri Jan 02, 2009 7:10 pm

I was listening to Rob Zombie's new song, War Zone, and there are many differences between that and his own work, the format of the song has changed, to being the same as lordi, 2 verses, a guitar solo, and either a third verse or something like the end of monsters keep me company. I also couldnt help but Rob Zombie's voice sounded different, almost like Mr. Lordi, but not quite to Mr. L's level. As well as the instruments, a powerful drummer, a great guitar player, "support guitar" keeping a rhythm underneath and a great keyboard.

More like the other way around to be honest with you.

I listened to the song on youtube and I didn't hear any "Lordi-influences".
It sounded like a classic Rob Zombie track.

The format of the song might be more traditional than some of Rob Zombie's or White Zombie's songs, but it's a song made for a movie, so it's understandable.
Also, Lordi didn't invent this format for a song, you might as well say that Rob Zombie was copying The Beatles.

His voice sounded a bit more cleaner maybe than before.

Mr. Lordi is a big Rob Zombie/White Zombie fan, and I would say, personally as a fan that Rob Zombies singing and style has affected his style and singing a great deal it seems.
