Monsters keep me company - it seems to me as a song of a schizophrenic... you know, monsters in his head who keep him company all the time, until he gets rid of them...
Don't ask me if I'm crazy - the answer is: yes...

Yeah maybe it could be the meaning, it can also mean where's your courage (I can see you crack under pressure , Where's your dragon now?).
Or it can also mean literally what the lyrics say, a tale of a bragger. :D

Yeah, that's true ;)

But I think that the point in Where's The Dragon is that you shouldn't brag and brag about things you don't have or haven't done, 'cause in the end somebody will notice, and you're busted ;)

Me and my boyfriend had some horrible images of what "Fire In The Hole" really meant, but if I say it out loud here I'm afraid your brains will overheat and I'll be thrown right out of this forum!

Looking away from those jokes, I always think that Lordi's songs has this kind of charm and wonder which makes me able to think about the lyrics in several different ways! Though I always have the feeling that many of them carries out a message about the importance to be yourself, believe in your dreams and so on in a really kickass way! Like in Supermonstars, Raise Hell In Heaven and others, don't you think?

I agree, Mara! I think their songs do have important messages like stay strong and stand up for what you believe in. If you look past the whole "Hollywood horror" themes, they really are a band with these kinds of messages. And I do believe that their songs are written in ways that there really IS multiple meanings. And I think that's one of the great things about their lyrics.

And yes, Fire in the Hole can be very...interesting. xD

If it weren't Kita's theme I would say Pet the Destroyer is about uncontrollable anger, the destroyer being ones temper.
The first verse could represent anger management or some other kind of therapy trying to keep it under control. As it gets to the second verse its like despite all attempts at keeping ones rage under control, if one is aggravated enough, it comes back. The chorus could be like taunting one as in the context of "Go ahead make me mad see what happens!"
A lot of people claim that stupid people annoy them, not me. I find them amusing.Image

The first time I heard Mr. Killjoy I kinda found the lyrics amusing.

But I have to agree that monsteres keep m company is a very good track, it can mean so many things when you listen to it. Also, thanks to you guys, I am actually starting to notice their meanings.

Also very creepy, listen to '13' from 'Get Heavy' then 'Kalmageddon'. But you have to do it really fast so it seems like the two tracks are linked together.
Also, 'Dynamite Tonight' followed by 'Fire in the hole'. The songs really fit togheter.

well if we can use our imagination and try to understand what pet the destroyer refers to  ...then we should do the same with dynamite tonight. maybe i just have a dirty mind here, but "for the delight" ..."i'll serve dynamite tonight" or "after the second half she will never be the same" it kinda makes you think. :P :P

but i also truly love shotgun divorce's story...or it snows in hell...i could imagine dozens of different meanings before i actually read somewhere about mr. lordi's explanation on the song.

Dead Bugs Bite is very simple. Its about us.

How others, like, fashionistas and just other people judge us and look down on us. Like To Hell With Pop.
