Just a little heads up, only post once and wait till others respond, or ask a mod or admin to edit your posts so you don't "over-post"

Whoops. Sorry about that. I joined Monsterboard after Lordi's last show in Hannover in December, but I don't go often to this site enough :/ so I'm still working out how to do certain things. But thanks for the advice. :)

I relate to 'Devil Hides Behind her Smile' because I do indeed rip apart women.

No, seriously, if you some of these songs, there's something not quite right...

I'd say Supermonstars... The lyrics could be from anyone's life. It also gives strength with its tight, loud and high stadium chorus. A great song, great lyrics easy to relate to. :)

I think it comes with being a fan and going to school nowadays.
You're literally a target while wearing a Lordi t-shirt or listening to their music.

I dunno how old you are (if you've gone to school while being a fan) or what kinda school you went to, but if you've managed to wear a Lordi t-shirt at school without getting bullied I just wanna say you've no idea how lucky you are... ;)

And I think this is one of those things that brings us fans so close together... :D <3 Many of us are going through the same things because of the band.

Yeah, but it's worth it! I would NEVER stop liking Lordi just because I've been bullied because of it!

Bullying is the most weak thing someone can do... It says a lot about the person itself. I ignore those people. I don't care what they say or think. Care of what your friends say of you and not the silly ones

In fact we must bully them, they listen to ugly 'music' and wear slutty clothes! :)

Would never bully anyone in my life, that is just wrong only because you think it is fun to do and the person is to that person weird and a outsider etc. Be nice and help each other.

Thomas are correct there as well. :) You just sink down to their level then and is no better than them.

Then there is a difference from teasing to bullying and most take teasing and jokes as bullying. Depends on how you are as a person as well.

Shall not go into myself and my story but lets say it wasn't paradise. For more nonsense info then pm.
But it is nice to hear that Lordi have helped you people so much.^^ :D

Lordi virtually doesn't exist in Canada. In the facebook page, "Bring Lordi to Canada," only four people joined. :(

I've never had the luck to wear Lordi shirts in school. Way back in the 1990s, kids bullied each other for different reasons in content, but the same reasons in theme: difference from the crowd. Which is stupid, I know.

It's really great that Lordi celebrates such uniqueness. Granted, in monsters, gore, explosions, violent deaths, and carnal aggression, but that's what makes it THE BEST.

I've started relating very well to Non-Stop Night. While I, to be perfectly honest, haven't really gone out since Lordi in Hannover in December (flu then snowed-in), I can relate to the carnal partying aspect of Non-Stop Night. When I do party in Canada, I party *hard.* The song gets me riled up and ready to dance crazily, drink non-stop, and cause some wreckage - like I do when I party anyway.

On the other hand, I feel like "Granny's Gone Crazy" was sung specifically about North Americans (Canadians and Americans). If you step out the door when it's not -30 degrees celsius outside, you'll see it:

- it's all porn (and stupid reality shows) on tv
- little girls dressing up like whores (i.e. talentless pop stars)
- mothers too fat to fit out the door (the States is the fattest country in the world and Canada's population was 66% overweight, with half that 66% being obese - this statistic was in the early 2000s; it's gotten worse since)
- grown men dressing up like girls (see: grown men dressed as scene kids, HIPSTERS, yuppies, university students who call themselves "artists," struggling actors/poets/writers/musicians, etc.)

It's too bad Canada can't be Europe. The music is so much shittier in North America and the people have virtually no taste in music, yet we're practically surrounded by pompous deaf hipster music elitists who don't know shit. Only in Europe will you hear Hanoi Rocks played publicly in venues and radio waves, while they are virtually unknown in North America. Only in Europe will you see rock-n-rollers wear jean or leather vests that proudly bear the logos of Kiss, AC/DC, Def Leppard, Cinerella, WASP, Twisted Sister, Motley Crue, and many other legends. In North America however, anything that isn't "underground" or containing a death growl "isn't metal." Fuck elitists. Fuck North America. I'd make a fun European! (I think...)

Where I live the people do listen to the same shit as in your place, Candy_Bra_Canadian... :(

But there are some people who listen to good music, like KISS, The Doors, AC/DC,... But I think there are such people everywhere. You're absolutely right, Candy_Bra_Canadian, the people are really brainwashed so they listen to 'music' that's just made to make quick money. Bands like Lordi really make music because they CAN sing and CAN play instruments and they like it. Nowadays the only thing you need to make music is a cheap computer program... :x
