Good to hear you are getting things going Death.

I use Cubase SE to mix the recordings I do, and to master them... you know like putting a solo into a song and such, the only problem I face is recording... I have many ideas but I just haven't got around to trying them yet... as I say I'm still trying to write songs :P .

You could allways get a little track recorder. Mr. Lordi started out with a little 8 track recorder.

As for gigs I guess you should just go places and give them an idea and sample of the songs... as sad as it is, places like local youth clubs and halls are good places to start... Hopefully some of the other Monstermaniacs here can give you some help, alot of them are way more seasoned in performing than I.

Hey you guys, a knew picture has been put on the site instead of the Mr. Amen one, it is Lordi now. No news has been put on, or dates, but I think that Psyanide might be working on it if the main picture has been changed.

http://www.lordi.org/... Have a look!

I think that is just because of the angle that the picture has been done at... I hope ....

Just wanted to say "hey" and introduce myself. I'm from Lincoln,
Nebraska in the US of A. Been digging Lordi since I traded someone from
Finland for GET HEAVY....they said I'd dig it and I did! I have an
internet radio station and I've been playing Lordi for quite some time now.

Looking forward to being a part of this forum.

Cheers,
Steve

I did... I did, dFt Radio, but it got shut down because it was using too much upload volume and the cost for it was too expensive.

Greetings and Salutations, Lordi-Forumers.

I'm new here (duh, hehe). I thought I'd drop in and say hello to you all.

I go by the name of spazworrier (spaz will be fine ), it's a name I use quite often on the net (if it's avaliable). I come from the ironically happy Kingdom of Loathing, which is an online game that I frequently play (and which I'm a chat-mod at) and I'm a regular forumer, if any of you play it then drop me a line and say hello.

I'm also a huge Lordi fan, not the biggest as I've come to see. But I really do dig their music! I listen to alot of rock/metal/goth but to be perfectly honest I will listen to anything. My most favorite band ever has got to be Queen. I was raised on it since the womb (I kid you not).

I'm also a huge horror-movie fan and I absolutely love zombie movies. My most favorite film(s) of all has to be the Evil Dead trilogy, closely followed by the "...of the dead" saga. I'm also a huge fan of anime and manga.

That's all I can think of for the moment, and I'm sure you guys don't want my life-story. So send me a message incase I cause any major faux-pas or if it's just to say "Hi", I don't mind.

Well it's due time to say a Huge Hellcome to Spaz here..

I hope you have a Beast of a time here dude. It's cool to find out you like alot of the same things I do, it seems like you'd get on well with Mr. Lordi, as you may know he loves the Evil Dead trilogy and as you said it the "...of the dead" saga.

If you have any questions just ask one of the many Monstermaniacs here including myself, we'll do our Be(a)st to help.

Greetings and Salutations zombie_204, It's great to see another Lordi fan on the board. I have also brought a few friends over to the side of Lordi. And they love them. You should fit into this forum nicely, it's a friendly one so treat everyone as you would treat yourself, ok?

And BotB Lordi's power is very strong! I still get chills down my spine every time I listen to The Monster Show.

Stay heavy guys!

Hello.

Postby killthesnowmen » Tue Jun 21, 2005 6:02 pm

Hi, I'm new, and this looks like the best place to say hello.

I've been listening to Lordi for a couple of months now, thanks to a friends' recommendation. Since then, I've bought The Monsterican Dream and Get Heavy from ebay, which I must say are very good. I also caught them at Download last weekend, quite easily one of my favourite performances. They were one of the few bands that looked like they actually enjoyed themselves.

Well, much love to you all.
KTS.
