2004 I think, Blood Red Sandman video came on a Metal Hammer DVD, I loved it, but couldn't get any of their stuff in Ireland, had to order Get Heavy and The Monsterican Dream.. Totally worth it! :)

eurovision 2006, in those times I didn't even listen to metal(to any metal style), when I first heard the song hard rock hallelujah I thought: Bah, it's bullshit and the whole metal sucks, but the second time of hearing I just fell in love with this song and all others of lordi, and I started to listen to heavy metal, hard rock, even alternative post-grunge, suck as breaking benjamin, three days grace, trapt, and many other bands, but so far my favourite band stays LORDI!

Unfortunately I don't remember it exactly. I only know that it was in 2006 and after they won eurovision. I even think that Lordi had made it to number 1(or "just" top 3? it's so hard to remember :s) in radio charts for some time in Luxembourg. That was really cool:) If only I knew what day I bought my first Lordi CD...

BTW Lordi made me start to listen to Metal, so they are kinda my heroes :D

They have never been metal, but maybe Lordi opened their eyes and introduced them to rock and metal music ;) The band who got me into hard rock / metal is the Norwegians Wig Wam. I love melodic death metal, doesn't mean they are a melodeath band ;) They just introduced me for the rock music

Thomas: Understood. :)

Miss_Brutality: I don't mind heavy metal even as a subgenre of the metal known nowadays. Haven't heard much of "new" heVy metal, but yeah they are metal if you think that so. ;)
