How did you discover Lordi?

Talk about anything and everything LORDI-related - in English.

I recon Lordi would be a massive hit in Japan. Mr. Lordi said they already have a Japanese fan page, and with the way the Japanese like new and interesting stuff I'm sure Lordi would blow them away.

I discovered Lordi after staying up all night watching covering of the download fest. on channel 4, in which Lordi played "The Devil Is A Loser". I didn't really hear the song, but it said they were from Finland, & as I'm a huge fan of other Finnish bands, I bought the album. And it was probably one of the best decisions of my musical life.
You say it's not love if it's not forever. But let me tell you, my love: a scene can be much more to remember than the play itself.

this is a bit stupid but are lordi songs in japan in english?
it would be strange if it were to be translated into japanesse. i think it would sound really bad. also if its not in japanesse would they understand what the songs are about????
this i a bit racist.

"I'm the Brood Red Sandmanaru..."

None the less though, it would be interesting to hear the Lordi songs translated into Japanese.

Very accurate translation Isn't it? Not that I'd know better without my Japanese phrase book.

I discovered lordi through the lead singer of my band. He played blood red sandman at the start of band practice one day. I watched the video and listened to the music and fell in love. This has to be my favorite band of all time. They look so good. All of the combined musicianship of Lordi, Amen, Kita, Kalma and last but definatly not least Enery (Very nice keyboardist. :D  ) is just stunning. It makes for a unique sound that cannot and will not be rivaled. Wow :D

Damn straight, when we saw the vid we just thought "i bet they have an awesome stage performance".

She is into alot of the same music as me, took her to hammered at X-mas at the start of the year as i got her listening to InFlames. Just need to get her to like some of my other favourite bands like Children Of Bodom and Suidakra and stuff hehe.

A friend of mine sent me the song Would You Love A Monsterman and I was instantly hooked. Even worse than when I got hooked on Rammstein!

Now I'm waiting for money to buy the two other discs :D, and for my new guitar better to play Lordi's songs than my first one :-).

And last year I have not been to theyr french concert AAAARH... waiting for the next one.

I know too persons in my Highschool that know Lordi and like so much the band...

I saw the Blood Red Sandman video on a DVD that came free with Classic Rock magazine. Since my early teens I've been an Alice Cooper and Kiss Fan, and in Lordi I could sense the spirit of both of these artists. I bought The Monster Show on the strength of the above video and I love it. I'm looking forward to the new album.
Alice Cooper, Kiss, Lordi does it get any better?

I discovered Lordi when they were the opening act for Nightwish, on November 1, 2004.
The PA system was terrible and noisy, but I heard at least that there were potentials...
So when I got home I downloaded both albums and listened to. "Damn", i thought - and immediately ordered both of the actual CD's.

I read that Mr. Lordi did the make-up on the "Sixpounder" video for Children of Bodom. So I decided to check them out. After I heard Blood Red Sandman I ordered Get Heavy and The Monsterican Dream, imports very expensive. Lordi needs to come the USA!
