Well, I started to like them last year when Finland won the Eurovision song contest. Their music made a HUGE impression on me and I became a fan. :) I could have become a fan in 2002; there was a WYLAM music video on TV but I missed it. Nowadays Lordi is the best band I have ever known.
The Deadache epidemic started in 29th October in 2008. I caught it in 6th November.

It's obvious that the Devil is hiding behind my smile...

Joni - eh? Are you saying that; when one first heard of the band actually makes a difference to how much of a fan one is?

However I'm sure you wouldn't come out with such b*llocks.

I've known them since early 2006.

Don't make attention on what he say

Mr Lordi say in a song (Mr killjoy if I good remember) that you like me or not I don't care

I should chance that in "that you thougt that we are not so good fan als you we don't care"

'cause we are what we want to be
fan of the monster of rock we are for real

And yes I'm not shame to say that i'm a 2006 fan

Well, I'd heard of them in like 2005, but I didn't hear any of their music and I didn't know what the looked like or anything. But then when I saw them at Eurovision last year it changed my life! Now Lordi are like my main thing in life. I think without them my life would be very different, and I'd probably be an emo and follow the crowd.

So 2006 for me.

November of 2006: I watch an Undertaker tribute video using "Blood Red Sandman" and fell in love with the song.

I listened to that same song over and over until in March 2007, I thought, "Hey, I should see if they have more songs!"

I've been a monstermaniac ever since, even though it's only been a little over a month since I actually saw what they looked like :) Seeing Lordi make me love them even more... :D

I agree also with S92. This is my first year in college, and I've been trying to find my niche... And now, I think I found it. XD I'm a monster!

In 2006 at ESC ;)

I just saw a picture of them, and I just laughed and: WTF?!?! So I HAD to see them cause the costumes :P And I thought that it would be a black/death metal band cause the costumes xD So first I downloaded the song, and? What? It is just.. SOO great!! And i watched the ESC, I really hoped that they should win, but I did not thought that they would win...

After that I saw "The Arockalypse" and buyed it.. Then I found "The Monsterican Dream" and now I am searching for "Get Heavy"

I heard of Lordi just before last year's eurovision. I decided to buy The Arockalypse a week after Lordi won the eurovision, and I've been a fan ever since.

Well, I've been searching for a band like this since I was 9 ( that was back in 1999). And in 2006, after viewing Hard Rock Hallelujah on Polish MTV, my jaw dropped. I found it, the band of my dreams. A band that combined monster costumes and themes with catchy hard rock/ heavy metal I like. I maybe haven't been a fan very long, but I know i'll be a designated one.
Actually I'm a Plumber.
