What do your parents think about Lordi?

Well, another story about my mom. She saw some days (a week or so) ago an article of Lordi in Finnish newspaper Iltasanomat. There was a picture of Otus in the article. When I saw the article, I asked her what she thinks of Otus. She said he looks really cool. Ladies and gentlemen, my mom!

My mother has some kind of insane phobia of KISS... So because of that, I decided not to show her Lordi. She'd probably have a heart attack.

I'm always discussing Lordi with my mom these days! I keep her updated about what's going on and stuff, for instance that Rokkikauppa's closed international shipping, about Kita and ESC, Otus, Mr. Lordi's statements on the forum and so on... She saw I had become friends with one of the monsters on Facebook (not telling who, if you have me on FB u might already know...) and that s/he had written something to me... Suddenly she became more interested in the band, just like that.... :lol:

And even though my lil bro's not listening to them anymore he's always interested in news with the band.

My mom and my brother is pretty open to the band. After all these years they've learned it's a part of my life y'know. It was about time if you ask me... :lol:

my mother doesnt like Lordi..she will listen to it if I'm playing it in my car or at the house...but she gets tired of his high pitched 80's metal scream XD and she tells me..ok..I cant do that anymore..change your music...

and she thinks they are scary looking. I said M.r Amen was handsome and she told me I was insane.

Hell, my folks want to go with me next time I see Lordi.

Saying that I'm in my mid-twenties and nothing I listen to really surprises them any more.

My dad say: "It's scasty. It's not a music!!!" , but my mum like Lordi. She think they're sooooo awesome and she's always talk about the concer Lordi in television on Eurovision. :mrgreen:

Well... My dad thinks Lordi is okay. I don't really know what my mum thinks of Lordi... I think she doesn't like that kind of stuff. If I had to guess I'd guess she doesn't like it or hate it either... =/

My dad hates everythign I'm into on principle, my mum will try anythig once, although i gave her my headphones, started to play Blood Red Sandman at the volume I usually listen to it..... and her eardrums nearly blew out while she simultaneously had a heart attack.
I had to give lots of mummy cuddles before she forgave me! XD But she agreed they sounded good although she's into house and trance music....my 50 year old mother....God I love her!

My mom is fascinated with Lordi did not like me but she likes hard rock hallelujah.

We watched eurovision and she liked then this song. But the other songs are for her 'too loud'. Oh, and I don't understand this, yeah.

Well, my parents and the rest of the family keep making jokes about them and try to bother me, but it's all just for fun. ^^
They accepted that I'm a huge fan but they don't listen to the music or anything like that. As long as I like them my family is fine with them.

I still know my dad's first reaction when seeing them in Eurovision: "WTF... if that is going to win I will never watch Eurovision again!" (he failed to do that by the way) my brother and I got all insane hoping they would win (and surprise.. they did ;p)
After that, I forced both my parents to listen more carefully ant they admitted that they actually liked some songs! ^^ (they had to, cause they'd hear it all day blasting from my room XD)
Now.. My mom is more of a within temptation/nightwish/epica type, and my dad listens to any spanish music all the time (drives me nuts!) but they both love it for me that Lordi is such a big part of my life. My mom was so happy for me when I could get to Italy to see them again. That feels really nice.
