The film's just been distributed to 25 countries and I'm sure we'll find out what those countries are soon. I hope England are on the list.

Markus Selin said that Dark Floors has been sold to almost 25 countries, and they are in the talks for a US distribution. They will inform more about it this week.

It would be very stupid if they won't release it there, they talk English in the movie, so I bet that they WILL release it there too

Erm, blaiming Lordi :P?
It's like me blaiming President Bush for the mole on my back.

The people who decide where the movie is being showed is your local cinema, your countries ''cinema distributors'' and movie prouction companies. And Solar Films, Nordisk Film and people at the Berlin Film Festival.

So yeah, the band, Lordi has nothing to do with it.

Plus most of the cast are English too, so I think there's a massive possibility of it being shown here.

Let's just keep our fingers crossed, Great Britain needs some Lordi.

I highly doubt they have alot to say.
They can't sell themself to someone who doesn't want to buy them.
I'm very into the movie industry too and I've learned alot about it.
And also, the countries listed on that page are the countries who had people call their local cinema and asking wether the film would be shown there or not.

Since you are so involved in the low budget film industry, I bet you know who you should call to find out more and then maybe you can make them show the movie yourself :P.

I know I'm calling the Swedish ''Nordisk Film'' and ''SF'' like crazy.
No words yet though, was a while since I last call though.

Sure, they pretty much control the film industry. They are more powerful than Spielberg and George Lucas put together.
But seriously, this is not a big studio production. On an international level it's a low budget horror from a small country no one has ever heard of.
These things take time. It's allready been sold to 25 countries. And if it happens to be so that UK is not one of them, surely you can buy the dvd online when it gets released in some of the countries. Because it's higly unlikely it'll be released theatrically in anywhere else than Finland and the rest of the nordic/baltic countries.

There's allready a Dark Floors-topic with plenty of discussion about this issue. You didn't need to start a whole new topic in the totally wrong section.

You really think that the producers don't want it to be released in England? It's their film, they have millions of euros invested in it, they are trying to sell it to as many countries as they can.
The freaking world premiere was only about a week ago, have some patience.

Irony I hope.
But yeah, this should soon be closed, I say make a few calls, won't hurt anyone.
